Overpriced and the food portions are small. Water front dining but limited deck space. Does not have the same allure as the New Orleans French Quarter location. There are so many other choices in town I would say pass this by for sure. A family will go broke eating here!

In name alone five stars, yes that's right, there name carries a lot of weight, Acme brings with it quality, quality staff, quality product. This Gulf Shores location is no exception, a beautiful restaurant, the staff was exceptional and of course the oysters.....omg, that good. Yes there are cheaper, but are they better? I guess LuLu's be warned, soon the'll have a dock!

So after eating at NOLA Acme how could Gulf Shores ACME compare? Well, much to my surprise they compared well! You have to try the Char grilled oysters. These are from God...oysters on a half shell with cheese and butter. A perfect start to the meal. Chicken wings were good also and tasted much like Hooters wings. Oyster po-boy was as good with nicely breaded oysters although they were a bit small for my palate. Fried fish was so delicious and very moist and tender and not greasy at all. I will order this on my next visit. My daughters had shrimp salad that had grilled shrimp over a bed of lettuce and jambalaya that had a good portion of beans in rice. i was told it was good. We also tried the pecan cobbler and chocolate caramel pie and both were a hit. The pecan cobbler tasted like warm pecan pie and the chocolate caramel pie was decadent and tasted like a warm cookie. Overall, this is the place to go rather than Lulu's which is a pretentious experience.

Food was good and the BEST service we have had all week. Server 224 Tiffany. We had a party of 6 and went at 530 pm on a Friday. Got a table right away and Tiffany greeted us promptly. Tiffany checked on us regularly and we NEVER had to wait for a drink refill. By far my favorite meal of the week. Fish and Shrimp. My only complaint is it was very loud in the restaurant making it hard to talk across the table. Cleanest restaurant also.

Food was outstanding. Seafood étouffée was the best I've ever had. Huge raw oysters served freshly shucked and cold!

I thought that I was going to be in for a good meal from looking at the reviews, but I was sadly mistaken. Opening the menu the options seemed to be oysters or a large amount of fried food. We started the meal off with the Boom Boom shrimp which was decent. I ended up ordering the fried seafood platter to try a little of everything. While I did enjoy the fried oyster, the shrimp was super dry and hard and the fish was so well done it tasted like a pork rind. Overall the service was pretty good but the food was comparable to a frozen meal at the grocery store.

The chargrilled oysters are as good as the restaurant in New Orleans. I loved that there was no wait and we were able to get served as soon as we arrived (which was around 6:00 during the busy summer season). The view over the water was also nice.

Pretty good restaurant. It had a beautiful view. The food is a little over priced but it was still good.

Overpriced, long wait, poor service. Once we were inside and I saw several tables open and people waiting I knew something was not right. I very Big complaint was the overpriced Oyster soup had one oyster and was very no flavor, tasteless. ( this was a bowl with one oyster. *** FYI. The next day we realized we forgot our credit card and went back to get it and our credit card company notified us about about chargers that were not ours. And these were chargers that were posted when we did not have put card. This is not the Acme of No!

Sorry but this just did not live up to all the hype. I tried the oysters and shrimp. They were ok, nothing to brag about. Matter of fact I'm not. I even went back the second time hoping it was just a bad night. Nope same bland food, but this time even had lost service. I think two times is enough to for this place.

Great food! Really has Louisiana atmosphere! All the food is delicious! Chargrilled Oysters & Banana Fosters Cheesecake are our favorite! One of our most favorite beach restaurants!

So disappointing we LOVE Acme NOLA and the building is spectacular. Now the food . Nothing on the menu is local. The fish served is Swai from Thailand. YUCK This could be an amazing restaurant but falls into a poor food tourist trap.

Well, I love Acme in NOLA and this was no where close, which makes me very disappointed and sad to write this. The best thing we had that night was chargrilled oysters and the seafood gumbo was not too terrible. I DO NOT recommend the Fried Fish Ponchartrain, looked like a plate of mush. Not to mention the service was very slow. Overall it was not what we expected as well as a mere disappointment for the price.

First time here..so far the atmosphere is great! Nice dining area. Only had to wait 15 min for a seat at 8:30pm. Joe ordered stuffed artichoke soup and he says "its amazing!" Waiting on Emily's fried shrimp and my fish... Emily and I are not big on experimenting.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummy. Wonder if I could just make that my review? Maybe not. We were out looking for a different restaurant when I came upon the large ACME sign. It is obviously a newer place and for some reason I had overlooked it as an option when scouting places to eat. Don't know how that happened, since I love the one in NOLA. As soon as I saw the sign, I knew my dining plan had changed. Large open space, not too crowded which surprised me, as did the quick look on yelp to see the reviews. Couldn't believe there were several disappointing reviews. But I didn't care, because I already knew what I was ordering and already knew what it would taste like. And it didn't disappoint! We sat outside on the deck, overlooking an inland water feature of some sort (river? inlet? I don't know) - nice area, kids enjoyed it too. Kids had kids food - burger for one and hotdog I think for the other. It doesn't matter. Why? Chargrilled oysters. That's why. Let's just call them CGO's. Many try, but few succeed, in the chargrilled oyster world. Acme in New Orleans, along with Drago's in New Orleans are the grand champions. I assumed this would be the same. And I was right. Appetizer? We had a dozen CGO's. I generously allowed my wife to have a few. Every time she took one, I resisted my desire to stab her hand with my fork. Luckily, she's not a big oyster person so she only had a few (normally she'd have one, but they were good enough to lure even her taste-buds into more than one) For my main course? Another dozen CGO's. All mine. I've been known to order 1/2 dozen for dessert, too, but not this night. I like my CGO's. Also had bowl of gumbo which was great. Wife had BBQ shrimp and grits, which was great - she almost licked the plate. Did allow me to have a taste, so I forgave her earlier oyster snatching. She thought it was one of her best meals of the trip. Great ambiance, amazing CGO's, outdoor dining, and great food in addition to the oysters. What more could you want? Could only have been nicer if we had Bourbon street nearby. We will return next time we're in the area, no doubts there.!

Since Lulus had a 2.5 hours wait, was way too crowded, and had kids, adults, grandparents crawling all over each other, we went to Acme Oyster House across the water from Lulus. Not only is the food better, but the atmosphere is as well. We sat outside and there is an excellent sand play area outside by the water by the boats. A large yacht passed and honked his horn at the kids. It was surreal. The food was excellent and better than Lulus in my opinion. I would say if only JB is at Lulus, then that would be the only reason to go there. Other reason, Lulus is a tourist trap.

Great seafood and cocktails with a good view! Best seafood poboy on the beach! Yummy chargrilled oysters and they actually have a separate fryer for shellfish allergies which is huge for our daughter!

  • Lisa G.

This place is kind of hidden. If we hadn't seen a billboard for it we never would have found it. My husband had the Peacemaker and it was excellent. My daughter and I don't eat seafood, but we were able to find good meals. She had the chicken poor boy which was delicious. I had a grilled chicken breast with sweet potato fries which I enjoyed. My husband wants to go back before we head home.

I know it can be touristy but the food never disappoints. Chargrilled oysters are the best. My mouth was watering as each order came by before we got ours. Fried oysters were good along with gumbo. This place made a rainy beach day worthwhile.

Over priced and Underwhelmed. I will say the chargrilled oysters although small after thought oyster tidbits, were very good. But baste anything in that much butter and you can't go wrong. $18 a dozen was a price shock after all the huge oysters we got at $10 a dozen prior to going here. Not worth it. The ..ummm "french" bread smelled almost moldy too. I did not enjoy any of the other food I had or any of my friends had either. The platters are a joke-avoid the platters with fish as you will just get two HUGE pieces of some mystery frozen filet piled to make the platter look impressive...only to find 4 pieces of shrimp and 6 tiny fried oysters. Maybe I just hit them at a bad time...although the place was empty on a Sat night at 8pm. The service was horribly slow but she was nice. I will never go back to this place again. Pretty lame ending to our trip after all the really great food we had elsewhere. PS-avoid oyster shot at all cost. BLEH. (vodka, raw oyster and coctail sauce.) The coctail sauce was 98% thick horseradish and 2% ketchup. gross.

Colton, our waiter was very personable and gave us excellent service. Our food arrived in a timely manner and definitely exceeded my expectations. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans, and Gulf Shores is equally as good. I look forward to my next trip to the beach and Acme is definitely on my list of the best places to dine.

The chargrilled oysters are very good and are served with French bread to sop up the juice. The size can vary with the season and they weren't very big this time.... But still yummy! I also had the seafood salad which was great as an entree! It is important to know this isn't at all like the place on New Orleans... If you are looking for that you will be disappointed. This is a new, more upscale establishment. It is mostly a tourist destination. They have outside seating overlooking the inter coastal waterway.

Very sub-par. The "French Bread" is a joke, whoever orders the bread for this New Orleans based & themed oyster house either doesn't know what real French Bread is or just doesn't care... Here's a hint: it fights back. The Jambalaya was less than impressive, it lacked flavor and meat. They should've just called it dirty rice. In their defense however, I have very high standards, I'm used to backwoods, bayou boys' jambalaya. The seafood gumbo wasn't bad at all but nothing special. The "Boo Fries" were kinda awesome. That's about the only thing that really aroused any excitement. The chargrilled oysters were pretty good: flavorful and cooked properly, a bit small though. Overall, it wasn't awful but not impressive. I'll go back if I have little say in the matter but that's about it. If I could make a suggestion to the people cooking... Tony Cachere's.

I don't write reviews...this is my first. But this service and food was so bad, I had to write this!! Be prepared to wait for your food. My drink never got put in and I had to go to the bar and get it myself. The food was not good and overpriced. Anything we needed, we had to wait forever and ask twice for it. Food didn't come with condiments so we couldn't eat our food once we got it and had to wait even longer. One person in our party, her meal wasn't even edible, so I shared my meal with her. They did take it off, so I'll give them that. To be in a tourist town where fresh seafood is available...it was fishy. I wouldn't recommend this place and won't be back.

This place got 3 stars because the service was awful. The food is pretty good- we got the oysters for an appetizer and they were tasty and muffuletta was good. The prices are a little steep but on par with the area. Our server was MIA most of the time and the food came out in odd stages and she made several mistakes to the point it just about ruined our dinner.

Service an A plus and food an A plus. Loved the gravy fries. I was in the mood for something fried so got a platter of fried seafood. Not bad. Staff was very friendly and the building is beautiful. I will definitely try this place again.

Very good service and the food was even better. The bill was a little shocking but oysters have went up alot this year due to new harvesting laws. I will be back and recommend this place to any oyster lover.

I really don't know why they didn't get better reviews. The roast beef poor boy, grilled oysters and gumbo was just like what you would get in New Orleans and yes I've been there many many times! (Grew up in the area) Also our server was funny and personable. Great job!

We immediately ordered two chargrilled oyster platters. Got to do it since it's an oyster house. Right before they quickly came out, the appetizers arrived. Fried crab claws were really good. The dipping sauce has a little kick. Enjoyed the meat pies. Never had that before but ate more than my share. The only part that isn't great is the pies are too hot to eat when served so wait a couple minutes. Well worth it. The oysters were amazing baked in butter with cheese on top. Can't eat 'em fast enough. A dozen might not be enough for two people ready to chomp. Service was fast and the place is kept cool.

Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. We went on a Thursday night with a party of 10 and only had a 20 minute wait which was nice. The food was great. Good New Orleans style food. The best thing we had was the Chargrilled Oysters. I have never liked oysters and I are several and wanted more! The atmosphere was nice, however it was a little loud. They also have fans going that gave a slight strobe feel and gave my sister a headache. I had a sampler which consisted of jambalaya, red beans and rice, and gumbo. All were good - but I would suggest Captain Morgan's seafood platter over the medley. Over all - great restaurant and if there isn't a wait I will go back - however if there is a wait time I would probably skip it.

This is the real deal, I've been to New Orleans location and this one is the exact same, the kids had the fish and cheeseburger meals, wife had the grilled oysters as an appetizer, an the shrimp entree. That garlic butter is addictive. The fish Poboy with a cup of gumbo was enough for me. This place is new, and will soon be as busy as those other tourist traps

Phenomenal! This is our favorite place to eat in Gulf Shores. It is as good as the one in New Orleans but without the wait. The chargrilled oysters are fantastic. The gumbo and poboys are great. We have not had anything here that we would not happily order again. In two weeks of vacation we have come here half a dozen times.

Fried Fish Ponchetrain is amazing. Tender flaky fish lightly battered is yummy by itself but the butter sauce with shrimp and crab on top is amazing. Hrilled shrimp platter was goid too. Service was ok, seemed like it took a while to get initial service and the check but food came pretty quickly.

Had lunch with several friends, the oysters were fantastic, but that is where it ends. They harped the bloody mary, so we tried them, they were terrible, they would have been better without all the extras (wine, etc.). Also there wasn't any seafood in the gumbo, Complained to manager, his reply was "they must not have stirred it". The least he could have done was comp the gumbo. Will not go back.

4 stars bc of service...but we DID go the night before Thanksgiving. Food was pretty good. Oysters great, boo fries were great, the crawfish PO boy great, but the roast beef PO boy needed some flavor. Did not love it. Had too much food!

This is the epitome of bad service. The food was mediocre and the drinks were more expensive than they should have been. The only thing that was good here were chargrilled oysters. The people behind us were here 45 mins after us and they got their food before us. We had no cutlery, napkins or water till we requested it three times. Save yourself and try something else.

High price for very average food. The building was nice and clean. The service was fine, but there are much better places in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

We love Acme; this one has a long way to go, before it lives up to it's sisters' reputation Hostess was rude, service was iffy and entree was completely left off order. We ask them to pack up missing entree to go; got home and it was incorrect. The had better step up their game or other mediocre local restaurants will smother them.

Took my family and friends to the much anticipated Acme Oyster House. I'm a fan of the original location in New Orleans but the food and service was not up to par at Gulf Shores, AL location. Our waiter was not very attentive and seen distracted. The bill was about $50.00 over what I would commonly except and they automatically added a 15% gratuity. Oh, he was excepting more. He counted the money right in front of me, which is disrespectful. I worked many years in F&B and I excepted higher quality service. Oh, it was my granddaughter's fifth birthday I asked he if they did anything special for birthdays our server said yes. He came back with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and just handed it to a shocked five year. No candle, no buildup, nothing! Oh! And they charged me for that too.

Chargrilled oysters, oh my lord, quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten! Shared the captains platter w/ my husband and we still had enough for 2 more people! Everything was delicious and we had great service! I've been to the original in the quarter and was skeptical about this but I'm so glad we came! So so good! Highly recommend!!

They have a fabulous menu . I've tried the soft shell crab po boy, étouffée and gumbo - all thumbs up here . Sit out on their massive rear deck and enjoy breeze ( best by the hanging fish) . They also have an area in the sand to entertain the children . Priced reasonable and not overcrowded or stuffy - great servers . Acme also has a loyalty card program - not sure what I'll get one day but it'll just be a bonus on top of great dining .

The food was great. I would recommend the crab-cakes or grilled shrimp. the boom boom shrimp was phenomenal as an appetizer! The service wasn't great but we were there on a very busy night. Overall I would suggest this place to anyone!

Where do I begin? Absolutely horrible service. These people don't have a freakin clue. I spent almost 700 bucks on our party of 18. I had to take the mgr aside twice to try to talk some sense into her to try to salvage the murderous and brutal treatment from their uneducated wait staff. I just can't believe how pissed off I am to have included this place in my vacation. It took them an hour before one morsel of food was put on the table. When an order of the chargrilled oysters finally came out, they were tasty. It's crazy because we love the New Orleans location. I have to stop writing this review, my blood pressure is thru the roof just thinking about that pathetic place.

We have eaten at Acme Oyster House in New Orleans often and have been looking forward to trying this new location in Gulf Shores. My husband and I went for lunch today at 11:00 so we were one of the first of just a few people there. While the Peacemaker Poboy w Tabasco infused mayonnaise was tasty, it was very frustrating to have the Charbroiled oysters and appetizer all three delivered at the same time. There was no excuse for that since they weren't busy. The Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer was a big disappointment. Don't waste you're $10 - tasted sweet rather than a more remoulade based taste that is usually associated w the dish. I recommend just ordering the PoBoys if you go. The French Bread is fresh and crispy like you get in New Orleans which is rare to find on the beaches of Alabama. If you haven't had Charbroiled Oysters from Dragos you may not be disappointed, but if you have there's no comparison. If Acme wants to make it in Gulf Shores, they'd better get their staff better trained and some kid friendly toys in the back to play on or people will go elsewhere to eat mediocre food.

Baked Oysters and oyster Rockefeller soup is best item on menu. My opinion crab cake appetizer, 2 dozen raw oysters. 1 dozen baked oysters, and 2 Tangerine Daqauris.

Everybody was disappointed leaving. Prices are extremely high for the poor quality. Caesar salad with chicken was terrible. Someone at my table had to send back their fish because it was terribly undercooked. Someone else waited 30 min to get a soda refill. Will never go back again.

This is the by far the best food we've eaten besides what we have cooked at our condo. Highly recommend it. Wait time was excellent for our big party and on a Friday night. Huge place with plenty of room and top notch clean restrooms! Will come back many times in the future!

The char grilled oysters were good, but $13 for six?? At least they give you four small scraps of bread to soak up some juices. Everything was set up for maximum profit off tourists. Good location on the canal, but couldn't see it from the tables. The etouffee was delicious, but you need a small loan to order it with crawfish. Spent $40 for table of two with no alcohol, left hungry.

  • Davd S.

We had the captains platter. Oysters were delicious the fish fillet was pretty good. The soft she'll crab was overdone and dripping in grease. The shrimp were ok. Hush puppies were OK I didn't care for the craw puppies but that may have just been me. The fries were dripping in grease. When we walked in the hostess said we will seat you in a minute, lots of open tables, she disappeared for quite awhile and finally came back and seated us. Waitress was so so. She brought someone else's signed credit card receipt as our bill and we had to wait some time to get her attention to get thebill. We called the manager over and he listened to our complaints about the waitress said he was sorry and that was it. Not what I would expect when I spend fifty dollars.

My family and I had a great experience. Service was great and food was better than expected. The grilled oysters we absolutely awesome. I had the seafood étouffée with crawfish that was very very good. My daughter had the New Orleans Medley of which add tried a bite of everything. It was also very tasty. I will be back next time we are in Gulf Shores.

Never disappoints! We went on a Thursday, had a group of 11 and got seated right away! We had awesome service too! The chargrilled oysters were AMAZING! Everyone's food also came out perfect and in a timely manner. The only downfall is no splitting checks, so prepare to bring cash if there's going to be a big group! The atmosphere is great! The bar is absolutely beautiful! Being from Louisiana, I'm a fan of Acme anyways, but they have really out done themselves this time!

First time at acme in gulf shores. Sat at bar. Had half dozen raw and half dozen. Chargrilled. Shucker brought me an extra raw oyster Also had grilled crab cake. Waiter was great. Was shocked at price of half dozen chargrilled $11.49. Seemed so high all was very tasty. Will go back. TV's were too small on the walls. Couldn't see scores.

Like almost most of the reviewers the Chargrilled Oysters were fantastic. But from there everything went South. The only fish they were serving were Salmon and Swai (aka Chinese/Vietnamese catfish. Give me a break it's not like we aren't on the Gulf of Mexico. My wife ordered a Poopa with gumbo. It came out cold. My friend and I ordered the Cajun (?) Platter. The gumbo was fair, the jumbalaya was not hot. We had a very nice young lady as a server but she was relatively new. Only time we will be there.

Great fried seafood. Went back the next night with eight others. All enjoyed their meals. First night tried the chargrilled oysters. Glad i tried them, but prefer raw. Had the seafood salad: shrimp, crab claws and lump crab. Great blue cheese dressing!! My wife had the shrimp and grits, which she reccommended to two others the next night. On the second night i had the fried half shrimp, half oyster plate. Great lite batter!

We ate here twice in four days. Excellent food and service. It was far better than any other place we tried. There was not a wait on either visit. The first time my husband and I had the platter for two. It was more food than we could eat. The second time we had po-boys. My husband had the grilled shrimp one and said was the best po-boy he ever had. I had the crawfish tail po-boy and it was fantastic. The crawfish tails were so tender. Both po-boys were piled high. Food was cooked to perfection. Everything was so flavorful and seasoned perfectly! We will definitely eat here on our next visit to the area.

I am so sad to report that we went to Acme oyster house for lunch today. How sad the company built a lovely building with lots of room for big families or lots of friends wanting to eat at the same table. We were promptly seated and the wait person came right away for our drink orders. That was a great start, but it went downhill from there. High prices for food. Small shrimp not fresh but frozen. Fish was not caught locally or bought locally. Poor quality. It took forever for our order to be served and when it did come the fish was scorched as were the shrimp. The gumbo was fair and the "spicey" jumbalya was not spicey at all. The service went from good to very poor. We won't go back. And it won't last at this rate as Gulf Shores won't tolerate poor food or bad service.

We wanted to go to the new place in town and we went with 15 others but only to find that we selected the worst place in town--prices were high and food was dreck--the red beans and rice was out of a can and the gumbo tasted like dishwater. My wife asked about the poor boys did they use large shrimp and was told yes--when the sandwich arrived it had all very small salad or popcorn shrimp mostly all breading. I found our meal terrible and all the other folks- all 13 of em complained about their meals,as well --WE wont be back!!

  • Susan B.

Fried Fish Ponchetrain is amazing. Tender flaky fish lightly battered is yummy by itself but the butter sauce with shrimp and crab on top is amazing. Hrilled shrimp platter was goid too.

Great for lunch. The chargrilled oysters are a must. I had the jambalaya and it was excellent but heavy. I'm ready for a nap. The service was also good. No complaints.

This place is huge! Family friendly with the big sand playground for the kids at the back of the restaurant. Excellent service, food was great. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

  • Susan B.

  • Mary W.

  • Deborah M.

  • Stacey E.

4 stars bc of service...but we DID go the night before Thanksgiving. Food was pretty good. Oysters great, boo fries were great, the crawfish PO boy great, but the roast beef PO boy needed some flavor. Did not love it. Had too much food!

  • Mark P.

  • S M.

The chargrilled oysters are as good as the restaurant in New Orleans. I loved that there was no wait and we were able to get served as soon as we arrived (which was around 6:00 during the busy summer season). The view over the water was also nice.

  • Marie C.

Pretty good restaurant. It had a beautiful view. The food is a little over priced but it was still good.

  • Brian T.

Great Cajun style food with a beautiful view. The structure itself is worth experiencing.

    (5)
  • Jim L.

Overpriced and the food portions are small. Water front dining but limited deck space. Does not have the same allure as the New Orleans French Quarter location. There are so many other choices in town I would say pass this by for sure. A family will go broke eating here!

Great food! Really has Louisiana atmosphere! All the food is delicious! Chargrilled Oysters & Banana Fosters Cheesecake are our favorite! One of our most favorite beach restaurants!

  • K-Sue G.

  • Mike B.

  • Nathan M.

  • Melanie A.

    (1)
  • Jess B.

Here in gulf shores, AL to help Carrie with a hair show. What a great place! Great grilled oysters at this restaurant!! Never had them. They're now on THE list!!

  • Rex L.

Service an A plus and food an A plus. Loved the gravy fries. I was in the mood for something fried so got a platter of fried seafood. Not bad. Staff was very friendly and the building is beautiful. I will definitely try this place again.

  • Ronnie B.

Very good service and the food was even better. The bill was a little shocking but oysters have went up alot this year due to new harvesting laws. I will be back and recommend this place to any oyster lover.

Great food, packed, went on a Friday night. Waitress was on top of everything, you could tell the kitchen was busy but food was excellent. Definitely going back.

    (5)
  • Linda D.

I really don't know why they didn't get better reviews. The roast beef poor boy, grilled oysters and gumbo was just like what you would get in New Orleans and yes I've been there many many times! (Grew up in the area) Also our server was funny and personable. Great job!

    (5)
  • Tim P.

I know it can be touristy but the food never disappoints. Chargrilled oysters are the best. My mouth was watering as each order came by before we got ours. Fried oysters were good along with gumbo. This place made a rainy beach day worthwhile.

    (5)
  • Patty W.

So disappointing we LOVE Acme NOLA and the building is spectacular. Now the food . Nothing on the menu is local. The fish served is Swai from Thailand. YUCK This could be an amazing restaurant but falls into a poor food tourist trap.

    (3)
  • Hannah D.

  • Karen L.

  • Kimberley A.

BLEH. (vodka, raw oyster and coctail sauce.) The coctail sauce was 98% thick horseradish and 2% ketchup. gross.

Chargrilled oysters are the BEST. We tried the boom boom shrimp & it was also freaking good. Have a seat at the oyster bar. Good conversation with the staff.

    (5)
  • Phyllis J.

    (5)
  • Andy D.

    (5)
  • Joe D.

  • Jeff L.

  • Melissa F.

  • Andrew J.

The food was great. I would recommend the crab-cakes or grilled shrimp. the boom boom shrimp was phenomenal as an appetizer! The service wasn't great but we were there on a very busy night. Overall I would suggest this place to anyone!

  • Marc W.

You can't go wrong with their grilled oysters! Also enjoyed the seafood gumbo and MUST HAVE bananas foster cheesecake. Service was friendly, but forgetful on several occasions and I was only a party of one on business.

Great lite batter!

the last time I was here i didn't give Acme a great review. I think that night was a fluke. Our dinner tonight was great and the service was outstanding. If you are used to the Acme in NOLA then you won't be disappointed with the Acme in Gulf Shores.

We ate at the bar on a Friday night. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! It was also fun watching the guys shuck the Oysters.
